About

A place to find light.

Jewish Wisdom for Life brings the depth of Jewish and Hasidic thought to the real questions of your life. You bring a question — about meaning, grief, forgiveness, purpose, fear, love — and you receive wisdom back from a teacher you choose.

Each teacher is a real master of the tradition — the Baal Shem Tov, the Alter Rebbe, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rebbe Nachman, the Vilna Gaon, Rabbi Yisrael Salanter, the Rambam, Rashi, Hillel, Rav Kook, and more — each answering from their own writings, in their own spirit. And Ohr, the guide, draws on them all. You can sit with one, or ask the whole tradition at once and watch it converse with itself.

Real people, presented honestly

When you speak with a master here, you are speaking with an AI study-companion voiced in their spirit and grounded in their real, cited teachings — not the person themselves, and never a claim to be them. We treat their honor with care: we cite their actual words, link to the real source, and never put words in their mouth.

How we guard the truth

Only light. Every teaching is grounded in real texts and shows its sources — drawn from Sefaria, Chabad.org, HebrewBooks, and AlHaTorah— and linked back to them. We never invent a quotation or a citation; a citation that can’t be resolved to a real source is treated as a defect and never shown. Warm, human guidance is welcome, but it is always clearly distinguished from a quoted source.

We make no guarantees of spiritual, medical, legal, or relationship outcomes, and we never suggest that someone’s suffering is their own fault. For an authoritative ruling, we point you to a real rabbi. Our aim is not to replace teachers or community, but to help you understand the world around you — so you can go and share your own light.
